EFL Practitioner Training FAQ’s

1) Do I need to have my own horse/s and facility to undertake this Training?

No, you don’t need to have your own horse/s and facility to undertake this Training. You do need to have access to a horse/s to practise the techniques you’ll be learning and to undertake case studies. There are many ways to go about this, for example this could be with a friend’s horse, or at a local riding school or horse rescue centre.

2) Does this qualification enable me to obtain EFL insurance on its own?

Yes I will be recommending an insurance company that currently insures for EFL practice and does not require that you have additional qualifications, e.g. BHS qualifications.

3) Will this Training include the Epona techniques?

Yes, you will train in the core Epona methods which you will be able to use in your EFL practice as an Equine Reflections Approved Facilitator.

4) What post-qualification support does Equine Reflections provide me with?

As well as the mandatory 6 post-qualification supervision sessions that are part of this training there are two other main areas of support you will receive:

i) Following graduation and upon commencement of practicing as an EFL facilitator, you will be given a listing on my website on a special section for qualified facilitators. Enquires looking for EFL in their area will then be referred to a local facilitator.

ii) There will also be opportunities to co-facilitate and assist Equine Reflections from time to time with workshops and programmes to gain experience and confidence.
